Japan pro baseball began in 1936. This exceptionally rare program is from the 1939 All-Star Game between the East and West All-Stars at Koshien Stadium in Osaka.

The East team includes the following HOFers: Starffin, Noguchi, Nishizawa, Kawakami, Mizuhara, Karita, Shiraishi, Nakajima, Chiba as well as Rivera.

The West team includes the following HOFers: Ishimoto, Wakabayashi, Nishimura, Matsuki and Tsuruoka. This team also includes Hawaiian born Jimmy Horio and Fujio Ueda as well as California native Den Yamada.
